I have been around many of the 'Great Schools of the 90s' recently and feel very sad that good old cheering seems to have disappeared. Watching the Patch Machine vs Mean Maroon game brought great memories of the likes of Edward Omuse, Brian Mbarine and even less popular players like Mark Holi and Charles Cardovilis (more because they played for Saints).
What was clear from the supporters of Prescott teams this year is that most Kenyan Rugby Songs have died and it is the intention of this blog to bring back some of those great songs!
This year at the Safari Sevens (my first one in years) we experiences a new phenomenon: The vuvuzela. With the introduction of the Vuvuzela we may actually see the death of what were great songs that made our Wednesday afternoons worth remembering.
This blog will lead to that not happening.
